The Postal Service will be changing the designation of the Nashua PMPC to a L&DC no sooner than ninety days from the April 21, 2005 notification letter, or after mid-July 2005. The change in designation of the Nashua facility will compel the Service to adhere to National Agreement requirements regarding casual employment percentages and limitations, but allow the Postal Service to work categories of mail other than priority mail in the facility. |

Local 301 has learned that the Postal Service intends to perform an, "Interim Consolidation" plan that will result in the processing of all mixed states standard letter mail at three sites in the Northeast Area effective Monday, April 18, 2005. The Postal Service intends to consolidate the processing of mixed states standard letters, now processed in most mail processing facilities in the Northeast Area, to three locations: Northwest Boston, MA, Hartford, CT and Buffalo, NY. |
