On May 5, 2008 the National Postal Mail Handlers Union Scholarship Committee announced the 2008 recipient of the NPMHU Arthur S. Vallone National Scholarship.  Caitlin Perrier daughter of White River Junction, VT Mail Handler Daniel Perrier and Zack Love son of Hartford, CT Mail Handler Robert Love were the Local 301 receipients.

The NPMHU Arthur S. Vallone National Scholarship is a one thousand dollar ($1000.00) per year renewable authomatically for up to four years or until the completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever occurs first.
