In April of 2002, National Postal Mail Handlers Union signed a long-term contract with First Health Corporation to administer the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan. Our Health Plan remains the second largest health plan available to employees in the Federal sector. I was quite impressed with First Health's customer service improvements and other changes that are on the horizon. At this year's Health Plan Seminar, Local 301 was awarded the "Local of the Year" Award by First Health for all the work we do to promote the Mail Handlers Benefit Plan not only during open season, but throughout the year.
